Another wonderfully damp day in drought stricken Essex. Since the water companies announced a hosepipe ban, I don’t think that there’s been a single 24 hour period without rain. Half of Essex and Suffolk are currently underwater and the view from the window is becoming depressingly familiar.
Apologies to bird people for not knowing what make and model this is. Was at my parents at the weekend and was astounded by the number of birds nicking peanuts and attacking the fat balls. Unfortunately, every time I went outside they flew off so I had to shoot from inside the conservatory. Was a dull day and I never had the tripod with me so the keeper per click ration was extremely low. Shot @ 300mm handheld, many shots were blurry, not only because the birds were extremely quick, but the feeders were blowing in the ferocious wind.
Testing the new ‘Trigger Trap’ mobile app went better today than it did when I first installed it…. was looking forward to playing with a sequence of photos triggered by the distance lapse function, but was disappointed to find that it hadn’t actually taken any. Tried it on a very short trip to the doctors this morning on time lapse, and considering this was direct to the iphone rather than the SLR (waiting for cables to be delivered fro that one) wasn’t too bad a result (obviously could have done with a longer trip to make it a bvit more interesting and justify a soundtrack. Completely unedited – Just assembled with timelapseassembler
